Get Involved!
Students
There are many ways for students to get involved in the high school's film and media program. Here are a few ways to get started:
Take the IB Film and/or Media Production classes. This is the most obvious way to get involved in film and media production. These classes will teach you the basics of filmmaking, such as how to write a screenplay, shoot a scene, and edit a film. For more information check out the Courses page.
Join the Video Production Club. This is a great way to meet other students who are also interested in film or TV production. In the Video Production Club you make your own films and the best way to learn about filmmaking is to make your own films. You can start by making short films with your friends. As you gain more experience, you can make longer and more complex films. The club also runs the annual film festival at the high school.
Volunteer to work on school productions. Each year the high school produces a variety of films and media projects, such as student news broadcasts (The 9th Show), school musicals, short films and Color Wars. Volunteering to work on these productions is a great way to gain experience in film and media production.
No matter how you choose to get involved in film and media production, you're sure to have a lot of fun and learn a lot along the way. So what are you waiting for? Get involved today!

Do you work in the field of film or television production? We’d love to have you come and speak to the students about your job and what it is you do. One of the goals of the program is to give students hands-on learning opportunities to speak with experienced professionals.
