About

Studio 116

Studio 116 is the name of Putnam Valley's Film & Media program, which encompasses the IB Film classes, the Media Production class and the Video Production Club. The goal is to teach students the basics of video production, from pre-production to post-production. Students will learn how to write scripts, shoot footage, edit videos, and create sound effects. They will also learn about the different roles involved in making a film, such as director, producer, cinematographer, editor, and sound designer.

In addition to learning the technical skills of video production, students will also learn how to work collaboratively and creatively. They will learn how to communicate effectively with each other, how to solve problems, and how to meet deadlines. These are all important life and work skills that will prepare them for college or the workforce.
