Studio 116 is the name of Putnam Valley's Film & Media program, which encompasses the IB Film classes, the Media Production class and the Video Production Club. The goal is to teach students the basics of video production, from pre-production to post-production. Students will learn how to write scripts, shoot footage, edit videos, and create sound effects. They will also learn about the different roles involved in making a film, such as director, producer, cinematographer, editor, and sound designer.
Putnam Valley Education Foundation
The Putnam Valley Education Foundation (PVEF) was established in 2003 with the mission to aid the district in its pursuit of excellence in education by generating and distributing private funds that will provide opportunities for innovative programs and projects.
The Putnam Valley Education Foundation has generously supported our programs allowing us to purchase much needed equipment which has enabled us to provide students with hands-on experience.
