What is Studio 116

We are foremost a learning center, which offers classes and workshops on ancient spirituality, meditation, sacred sound, shamanic practices, and more.

Studio 116 is now home to 9ways, which has been presenting programs throughout the USA for nearly 15 years. They are the premiere organization for sacred sound learning and applications, and are leaders in the field of sacred sound therapy. They also host one of the most in depth programs on Global Shamanism offered in the USA today.

The studio will also be hosting programs on Eastern Spirituality with the main focus on the Bon tradition ( the original spiritual tradition of Tibet ). The studio will host classes and retreats with visiting Bon Lamas and Ani's ( Nuns ). Classes on Buddhism will also be featured, as well as Vedic chanting.

Contemplation and Adventure

Throughout the year the studio will be hosting special events, and ongoing programs with 9ways, meditation classes, and practice sessions with the students of Tog Den Won Po Geshe Chongtul Rinpoche from Menri Monastery. Our shrine room will be open to all 9ways, and Geshe Chongtul Rinpoche students for their devotional practices.

9ways will be using the studio for special workshops and weekly and monthly programs. Their Himalayan Singing Bowl programs are the number one programs on this subject in the world today. They also will be presenting classes on Peruvian Shamanic Whistling Vessels, Gongs, Tibetan Singing Bells and Tingshas, and more. Of special note: 9ways will bring their famous BLACK CLASS to Pennsylvania for the first time in 2008. And they will begin hosting an ongoing Global Indigenous Shamanic Studies program which is in its 5th year in New England.

The studio will have a small retail area featuring the finest Himalayan Singing Bowls and antique shamanic tools, and many other one of a kind items from the world's indigenous cultures. We will also offer the highest quality practice tools, statues, and more.

Throughout the year, the studio will feature special events and one of a kind musical programs. These programs will only be offered to small audience's to insure intimate atmosphere and close contact to the artists.
